the F R I N G E

for the love of making things (mostly textiles) by hand using archaic tools and time consuming techniques.

I’ve been making a lot of these ponchos still even though we’re getting on towards spring. Both browns and the white are alpaca that comes from the Andes and the blue is part of a trove of old needlepoint yarn lengths that I have from my grandmother’s handwork trunk.  The poncho is already winging its way to California, to my cousin, another granddaughter, so that is a sweet connection. Live long and prosper, friends, and make things by hand. Food and presents in particular, I say! Or give me a call and I will do it for you….
